I’m an (early) thirtysomething desi girl, living a delectable lifestyle in the lovely city of San Francisco. My earliest food memories include such varied items such as keema, sabudana khichdi, mussels stewed in butter and garlic, and sushi. I was raised to be open minded about food, and the world, and this blog is my attempt to chronicle some of things I most enjoy doing: eating, and drinking fine beverages.
A few fun facts about myself:
*My standard dish in college- pan fried ramen noodles with diced green onions and garlic. My, how things have changed.
*I’m a bit of an adventure junkie. Travel is my second passion, after food, and I have been to 20+ countries, and done 3 long haul treks in Asia.
*I don’t like potato chips. Also not a huge fan of soda either. However, I can eat baskets of fries.
*I drank $2 buck Chuck for years until I knew (could afford) better. Now I’m a certified oenophile.
*Out of all the countries I’ve been to, I still have to say that the region that inspires me the most from a culinary perspective is India.
*Last meal on earth? Probably an array of seafood- fresh uni with caviar, toro nigiri, and oysters, paired with a glass of bubbly and chocolate mousse.
